Goulash Festival

Every year, teams from not only the Czech Republic but also Slovakia, Poland, Austria, and Hungary would gather in Mikulov and cook over ten thousand portions of various kinds of goulash.
In addition to the classic Viennese, beef, and pork goulash, teams also cooked game goulash, Szegedin goulash, and pig-slaughtering goulash. Traditionally, there was a tasting of the first young wines, "Moravian Beaujolais," with cimbalom music playing, and cheeses, sausages, pastries, and teas were sold... During the day, a competition was held for the biggest eater of the goulash festival. In the afternoon, there was a "Barrel Rolling Competition" (garbage collector style) against the clock.
